TDN -- Total Digestible Nutrients

* Meaning that in order to calculate nutrient values of these feeds you simply multiply the percentage CP or TDN times the total weight of food being fed or being consumed.  In other tables you may find CP and TDN values given under the heading Dry Matter Basis. In that case it is necessary first to find out the dry matter content of the weight of the feed being fed or consumed before going on to calculate your CP, TDN, or other food values.

Data from the book, "The Family Cow" by Dick van Loon. Garden Way Publishing, 1976.
