Actual scam e-mail sent to hay seller.  Seller's personal information 
has been removed or altered to protect privacy.  






E-mail from a hay seller that’s been scammed:


Do you have any complaints against a Bill Scottman? I have several 
e-mails from him and he finally dropped down the amount of hay he 
wanted. he mailed us 2 money orders Wednesday and then we were supposed 
to money gram the shippers cost which was $520.00 plus charges to send. 
I contacted the shipper 3 times with no response. I contacted 
Mr. Scottman (in Scottsdale, Az) today and told him that the shipper 
had been paid and he started ouy saying that his horse was snake bitten 
this morning and ended up with 6 horses dying. ???? He wants a refund 
of his money...SENT TO THE SHIPPER minus $250.00 for our inconvenience. 
The money orders have not even cleared the bank yet and we are already 
out $520.00 plus charges to send the money gram. 


The scammer is “Mr. Bill Scottman” from Scottsdale, AZ.  His accomplice, 
the hay shipper is Mark Gilberlt [onpoint_hay777@yahoo.com].

I assume you are looking for round bales? If so, we will be cutting 
and baling the first part of next week. Round bales of good horse 
quality hay is $55.00 for round bales. If you are interested and if 
you have someone to pick hay up please let me know and we will have 
it ready to load. We would need half the money down and the remainder 
upon loading.

The hay scammer writes:

  Thank you for your response concerning my order for the Hay. In order 
to conclude our arrangement concerning the Hay I want to purchase, Like 
I told you I will mail out the payment to you by the end of this next 
week. The payment will be a Moner Orders, More so the shipping fee will 
be added to the payment in which you have to deduct the money for the 
Hay and  the rest will be sent to my shipper who will come for the 
pick-up with a Truck in your location. You can contact him via e-mail 
(onpoint_hay777@yahoo.com) so as to  make a pick-up  arrangement with 
him concerning the time he can come for the pick-up of the hay after you 
have received payment and cleared it. I'll look forward to hearing from 
you to assure me you can handle this with all perfection.

I contacted the shipper and he never gave me an address to send money. 
He told me that you were supposed to wire the money to him for 
shipping. I do not have a problem sending him the money, but I do not 
have a name or address to do so. I e-mailed him after I e-mailed you 
the first time and he has not responded to my e-mail. If you can 
reach him tell him that I need an e-mail from him with name and 
address and amount to get him his money.
