Actual scam e-mail sent to hay seller.  Seller's personal information 
has been removed or altered to protect privacy.

JUST THOUGHT THAT YOU would want to be aware of some internet 
scams that have come to me from less than honorable folks 
combing the internet hay ads for "easy money".  

Typically they will arrange for a money order, cahier's check 
or wire that turns out to be not valid.  By then many have either 
said goodbye to hay or money in their account.  

I am not sure of the specific ways they operate but I can tell 
from these email and the lack of response once I ask some serious 
questions that they are up to no good.  You might want to warn 
some of your sellers and buyers.

Yes we have some very fine, tasty orchard / alfalfa.  First load went 
to horses in Virginia who love it.  The bales are $6 each at pick up 
here in [location hidden].  Let me know.  We sell by the bale --- each 
bale weighs about 50 pounds

Thanks for your reply. i want to be rest assured that am dealing with 
the right owner of the Hay. And more also like to know if you are 
willing to give me the last price it going for as i am interested in 
purchasing 200 bales of alfalfa and pls let me know the total amount 
of the 200 bales. i would have love to come over to your place and 
see it but am out of the state for a special duty. Concernng the 
shippment i have a shipping Agent that will do that so dont bother 
your self about that
