Tedding
- A mechanical fluffing of a cut forage in the field to aid in drying
To-arrive price
- Price of a commodity, including freight and handling charges, delivered at a destination at a specified time. Also known as "delivered price".
Total Digestible Nutrients (TDN)
- The energy value of feeds that is actually digestible. The sum of crude protein, fat (multiplied by 2.25), non-structural carbohydrates, and digestible NDF. TDN is often estimated by calculation from ADF. The formulas for calculating TDN vary by region and by nutritionist. Western Formula is presently the most used formula.
Toxin
- A substance that is a specific product of the metabolic activities of a living organism and is usually very unstable, notably toxic when introduced into the tissues, and typically capable of inducing antibody formation.
Trace Minerals (TM)
- Minerals that are available in very small amounts.
